There’s 188 countries globally, that are offered on the Maltese passport. Included within this are the Schengen Area, UK, Argentina, France and Hong Kong.

As Malta has a treaty with the US, Maltese citizens are able to invest into an American business and therefore apply for residency through the E2 Visa program.

Malta’s Citizenship By Investment Program:

By investing in one of the following routes through the Citizenship By Investment program, Malta allows the opportunity for foreigners to become Maltese citizens and gain a second passport.

An investment of €600,000 at least, if 36 months of residency have been completed or at least €750,000 after living in Malta for 12 months. Another option is to buy a residential property for at least €700,000 or to lease a residence with a €16,000 rental value. Lastly a donation of at least €10,000 to an approved organisation.
